This site is run by De Longpre Enterprises LLC, Los Angeles, California, USA ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: stay@hollywoodhideaways.com.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts. Nothing loads from third-party servers when you view the page. Because there is nothing to consent to, there is no cookie banner. If we add any tool that sets cookies in future, we will ask for consent first and update this notice.
Two exceptions apply only if you choose to use them: the inquiry form is delivered by Formspree, and card payments are taken by Stripe on a Stripe-hosted page. Each may set cookies needed to run its own service. Their notices: Formspree, Stripe.
What we collect, and why
- Inquiry form: your name, email, and message. Used to answer your inquiry. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Bookings: name, email, phone, home address, stay dates, guest names, and the signed stay agreement. Used to provide the stay, send check-in details, and keep the records the law requires. Legal basis: contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) for tax and accounting records.
- Payment: handled by Stripe. We receive your name, the amount, the card type, and the last four digits. We never receive or store your full card number. Legal basis: contract.
- Airbnb bookings: if you book through Airbnb, Airbnb is a separate controller under its own notice; we receive only what Airbnb shares with hosts.
We do not collect special-category data. We do not profile you or make automated decisions about you.
Who we share it with
Only the processors we need to run the service: Formspree (form delivery), Stripe (payments), Google (email hosting), a document-signing service for the stay agreement, and our accountant. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. We disclose data to authorities only when the law requires it.
International transfers
We are in the United States, so your data is processed here. For guests in the EU, UK, or Switzerland, transfers to our processors are covered by their standard contractual clauses (Stripe, Google, Formspree). For the data we hold ourselves, the transfer is necessary to perform your booking (Art. 49(1)(b)).
How long we keep it
- Inquiries that do not become bookings: deleted after 12 months.
- Booking and payment records: 7 years, as required for US tax purposes, then deleted.
- Keypad access codes: reset at the end of every stay.
Your rights
If you are in the EU, UK, or another place with data-protection law, you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. Email stay@hollywoodhideaways.com. We answer within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. California residents have equivalent rights under the CCPA; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined there.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Booking records are kept in access-controlled accounts. Card data never touches our systems.
Children
This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
We will post any change here with a new date at the top.
